The Wisconsin weather can be a little temperamental. But if the sky is cloudy and gray, don’t worry! I can’t wait to show you how beautiful the diffused light will make your images!* Together, we will decide how to move forward: either with a reschedule at no extra cost, a change of time or location, or full speed ahead with the plan no matter the weather.
*If the weather calls for heavy rain or high winds, please note that we will be in touch to discuss how to proceed.
I don’t currently have one of my own, but I often rent out studio space if the occasion calls for it!* I am more than happy to book one for you in order to craft a session to fit your needs.
*Please note that if you’re seeking a studio session, there is an additional fee.
Life happens, and we can absolutely reschedule your session at no extra cost in these cases! Please notify me as soon as possible so I can make adjustments. Second-reschedule fees may apply.
Please don’t stress over it! I have been doing family photography for some time, and I have a few tricks up my photographer sleeves to work with squirmy littles and pouting faces. Sometimes, all it takes is giving them a few minutes of photo session time dedicated just to them! They usually love it and become far more engaged for the rest of the session.
The most important thing is to keep the mood surrounding the session relaxed and laid back. Children are affected by our emotions and act like little emotional sponges, and if we stress, so do they. So, by keeping things lighthearted, we can set ourselves up for a beautiful session!
You’ll receive a link to your very own password-protected online photo gallery in just two weeks or less. There, you’ll be able to download images, share them with friends and family, and order physical prints to display in your home!
If you’re worried your little ones will get bored during our session, feel free to bring some of their favorite toys, games, balls, kites, bubbles, or anything you think may keep them excited and engaged. I’d also definitely recommend bringing mess-free snacks and water with you. A change of clothes for your little one in case the worst happens is probably a good idea, too.
I get it — choosing an outfit for your session can be the most stressful part! Here are a few tips to keep your session simple:
I always recommend gravitating toward solid neutrals (think earthy tones, like deep greens, rich
yellows and golds, tans and browns, beautiful blues, or clay colors).
Try to avoid loud prints and lean into clothing items with minimal patterns for photo sessions.
Opt for coordinating over going matchy-matchy. The key though is to choose something that
feels comfortable and true to you.
For family photography:
I typically book about a month out. However, during the warmer months and the holiday season, please inquire more than a month in advance to ensure I can accommodate you.
For newborn photography:
I definitely recommend getting something on the books well before your baby is due! Let me know your due date and the type of newborn photography you are looking for — whether you want to capture the “fresh 48 feel” or you want to snap them at a few weeks old. We will work it out together!
For maternity photography:
The second half of the second trimester or early third trimester is a great time for photos! This way we will make sure we are capturing that beautiful bump while you have a little more energy and are feeling great.
Wonderful! I can’t wait to document this chapter in your family’s story! You can start by filling out the inquiry form, and I’ll be in touch ASAP to continue the conversation. Then, once I receive a signed agreement and your non-refundable session payment, you’re all booked and ready to go!
Your online photo gallery will remain open for seven days, during which you can explore all the available options for purchase. If you’d like to learn more in advance about what you can choose from so you can start to think about it, just let me know, and I can send some more information!
